Last week, David and Lucille Pilson visited Alice on their way to the beach.

Alice's Dresser Makeover

When Alice moved to SC, she gave her granddaughter, Mary Pat, one of her dressers. While MP had big plans for the dresser, she just got around to crafting the transformation this weekend.

Alice's Easter

Alice has a fun Easter (and several days after, too). Sunday, the girls had dinner with Alice, Shorti and Rick; they surprised Alice with a baseball Easter basket full of goodies. Among her favorites? A Braves magazine and a scratch-off lottery ticket, Price is Right style.

This cake was quite a treat! It's a pink lemonade cake from Dewey's Bakery in Winston Salem, courtesy of the Elliott Family. This cake is too good to be described. And world famous.


Monday, Pat and Jim visited, and on Tuesday, her grandson, Jimmy, and wife Ruth came for the day!

Alice and Opening Day

Alice is getting stronger every day, and yesterday, she got up to watch the Braves opening game! She felt even better after the game since the Braves won!

Alice's View

As you know, Alice is just home from a stay in the hospital. She is doing well, but still regaining her strength. Her granddaughter, Beth, decided that if she was going to be in bed, she was going to improve the view! She installed two bird feeders and a window box. After just two days, Alice reports that a big cardinal is now visiting her window! Shorti saw it today and said that it's the biggest cardinal she's ever seen!

This is a picture of Alice from this afternoon. Her brother, Davis, also known as Junior, and his wife, Janie, came to visit. Beth wanted me to put this picture on to show you how much stronger Gramma is, but she will probably be mad with us when she sees it.

She heard the news about the shooting in Carthage and has been worried about the people she knows there. Let us know if you have news about anyone, especially Lena.

Alice's Bloggers AWOL

SOOOO sorry for the six-week lull in the Blog!

Alice has been busy, and the girls have been having plenty of fun with her, but they have just been slack taking pictures and posting.

Right now, Alice is in the hospital. She went to the ER Saturday after throwing up all night, and they kept her for observation. Last report I heard this a.m., it may be a stomach infection.

Promise to do better on the Blog and update y'all on any developments at the hospital!
