Alice the Dog Whisperer

Did you know that Alice is a dog whisperer?

The Girls took a road trip to Pittsburgh September 20-26, and Alice, Shorti and Rick kept their dogs, Winston and Cebu.

Now Winston (the black dog) and Cebu (the smaller brown dog) are good dogs, but might be just a little spoiled and excitable. When one of the girls picks up the dogs from Alice, Shorti and Rick's house, Winston generally shoots out from the back door at 200 mph, knocking into anything that might be in the way. The Girls were particularly worried that Alice may accidently open the door to have Winston run her over, so they were very careful to warn everyone.

Turns out that Alice not only opened the door, but walked out amongst all three dogs, and they were perfectly behaved, including Winston!

And since The Girls got home, Winston has been so much more subdued!

We think Alice worked some magic on Winston. Or gave him some tough love or something. Whatever it was, The Girls are in awe!

Alice's Bloggers Are Busy Again

Ooops, ten days have past since our last post! Tsk, tsk - Alice's Blog editors need to get busy!

Saturday, Mary Alice, Doe and Joey came to visit Alice. Unfortunately, no paparazzi were working that day, so we have no photos! Sorry!

Just a head's up that the girls will be AWOL from September 20-25, so that will probably be a quiet Blog week, too.

In the interim, please give Alice a call or drop her a note to see how she's doing!

On Thurday, Alice and her two daughters, son-in-law, Rick, and the girls went out to The Original Pancake House for dinner. Shorti took the pictures, and they're not "Blog ready," but here is one we took of Pat and her dinner, "The Bird of Paradise."

Alice Out on the Town, Again

Alice's daughter, Pat, is visiting this week, so she, Shorti and the girls met the Elliott's at S&S for dinner.

Alice Celebrates Shorti and Rick's Anniversary

Alice had another big day on Sunday!

Sunday morning, Joey and Ray came to Columbia to visit Alice. Unfortunately, the Blog photogs weren't up that early - sorry! That evening, the Elliotts came over to celebrate Shorti and Rick's 44th anniversary, which technically isn't until September 4.

This was our favorite picture - Frances Anne sneaking in the 'fridge for cookie dough. If you look carefully, this was in the background of the picture above!

Alice, here's the question we all want to know! How can your daughter be celebrating 44 years of marriage when you're not even 50 years old yet????
