Alice's View

As you know, Alice is just home from a stay in the hospital. She is doing well, but still regaining her strength. Her granddaughter, Beth, decided that if she was going to be in bed, she was going to improve the view! She installed two bird feeders and a window box. After just two days, Alice reports that a big cardinal is now visiting her window! Shorti saw it today and said that it's the biggest cardinal she's ever seen!

Alice is BETTER!

Sorry for the lack of updates on Gramma on the Blog, but I think Beth e-mailed everyone with daily updates. If you didn't get them, e-mail her at bbaldauf@uway.org so she can forward them to you.

This is a picture of Alice from this afternoon. Her brother, Davis, also known as Junior, and his wife, Janie, came to visit. Beth wanted me to put this picture on to show you how much stronger Gramma is, but she will probably be mad with us when she sees it.

She heard the news about the shooting in Carthage and has been worried about the people she knows there. Let us know if you have news about anyone, especially Lena.

Alice's Bloggers AWOL

SOOOO sorry for the six-week lull in the Blog!

Alice has been busy, and the girls have been having plenty of fun with her, but they have just been slack taking pictures and posting.

Right now, Alice is in the hospital. She went to the ER Saturday after throwing up all night, and they kept her for observation. Last report I heard this a.m., it may be a stomach infection.

Promise to do better on the Blog and update y'all on any developments at the hospital!

Alice's Valentine's Day

Alice had a fun Valentine's Day!

This afternoon, she had her hair done - notice the pretty new color - and shopped!

This evening, Rick grilled out steaks, and Alice and Shorti made the fixins.

The girls came over with candy and wine, and everything was perfect!

The girls gave Alice a button bouquet for Valentine's Day! Mary Pat made it, and used many buttons from Alice's vintage button collection. Beth arranged it; she is very good at making things look beautiful.

Alice's Pre-Valentine's Day

Last night, Alice took the Baldauf family to the Pancake House for a pre-Valentine's Day dinner. The paparazzi wasn't there, but Shorti and Alice looked beautiul in their red, and the food was yummy, as usual!

Afterwards, Alice and Shorti went to Stein Mart and the Fresh Market. Beth went to buy Valentine Candy. Mary Pat and Rick went to Books-A-Million.

Tonight, Alice and the crew will have steaks and surprises! Promise pictures tonight!

Alice the Smiling Angel

These pictures were taken when Joey visited before Christmas. He is holding something behind Alice's head that looks like a halo. Notice that she is SMILING in both pictures, something she rarely does in pictures!

Alice's Super Bowl Party

Shorti, Alice and Rick had a fun Super Bowl party!! This is the only picture we took, and Alice isn't in it. Or at least you THINK she isn't! See that spread - Alice made a lot of it, including a yummy ham salad!
